asynch – glitch aesthetics tool {early works}

asynch is a max-msp patch for visually manipulating -glitching- digital images via vst audio plugins. By accepting the simple fact that digital images are only logical  0′s and 1′s, this tool manipulates images indifferently as audio objects. Its interface signifies a struggle to control the outcome and a voluntary acceptance of ‘chance’.

since it was my first attempt on max-msp its a bit messy, but serves its purpose. you can dowload the patch from here.

note that its not a standalone application – only works on computers that have max-msp installed.
